The day after Gotcha Day. WOW we are SO exhausted, that about sums up yesterday.
We were the very last family to receive our baby. Alivia was fashionably late is how I
see it :).....just like her mama! We were complete wrecks after receiving her (and I mean
complete wrecks). We had to bathe her and feed her just moments after getting her
(hello we are new at this). Then whisk her back to the room we had just received her in
to take photos for her adoption documents. It was shear crazy for everyone.
Everything had been sped up due to the large volume of families in Jiangxi adopting
all at the same time (around 200 families). So the local government took shortcuts.
That made it rather busy for all of us. So if you look closely you will see that Alivia is in
two different outfits for the same day. Now mind you we only got her at around 7pm on
Sunday.
Oh, did I mention that the bus carrying Alivia and all the babies from Yifeng SWI broke
down on the way so they had to get taxis to bring them to the hotel. And of course
Alivia was in the very last taxi, and the LAST baby to be presented. We were all filmed
receiving our babies by a gentleman making a documentary about adopting in China.
Not sure how we feel about his angle on this issue, but our moment will be
documented none the less.
But again it is very late and I am still very sick, Alivia too unfortunately. So more
