Check out the China chronicles pages (June 9th,
11th, 12th & 13th).  You should be able to see them
now...sorry about that the battery died half way
through so the new pages did not correctly download.

Well, finally today Awgust is feeling a little better!
Yeah!  It's been long enough.

Alivia on the other hand has had a very rough day
and giving her new mommy and poppy quite a lot of
grief today. She apparently has tonsillitis and
congestion in her noise and well just maybe her
parents have been feeding the little one just a bit too
much and we have indigestion and are having
strange hiccup type breathing patterns that her
mommy thought was causing her to not breath real
well :O  BUT it turned out all OK, and we got some
better feeding instructions from TWO doctors today.
Let's just say that both had a really good laugh!

Seems Ms. Alivia has gained a whole pound or so
since taking residence with her new parents. Nobody
will be accusing Michael and me of starving our child!

Alas, Ms. Alivia decided to go easy on her parents
and went to sleep tonight without too much trouble.
Much better than last night when she did not sleep
more than an hour at a time without waking and
crying.  She had to sleep with her parents because
her bed just would not do.

Well just in case you all were wondering, we are so in
love with our new little baby girl :)  She is simply the
sweetest thing we have ever seen.  Her little lips are
to die for (wait until you see what she does with them)
and EVERYONE here says "what a beautiful baby".
Seems they have a serious things for her eyes. She
seems to really like her new mommy & daddy.  Daddy
is a lot of fun and mommy seems to know how to
comfort her quite well when she really needs it (ie.
Screaming her pretty little head off).  We all have lots
of fun when she is feeling well.

That's all for now as I am falling asleep as I write.

Update June 22nd, 2005

Ok, so I am really falling asleep right now so please forgive
me if this is a little off.

We are leaving tomorrow at around 2:00 p.m. for the
airport.  I am so happy to be going home just to sleep in my
own bed.  This has been wonderful and fantastic...etc.  Now
for OUR bed and to say hello to our kitties.

Regarding the site.  I am really sorry I was not good about
posting, but my illness got the better of me.  This is really
the first day of feeling not so bad.  Alivia even seems to be
doing  better. We have shopped until we dropped, went to
the pearl market today.  Very fun.  Got more luggage to
carry it all in.

I am planning on continuing to post all of the trip on the site
when we return.  That might even be easier since we will be
in our own house.  All the photos we took makes it easy to
remember what happened from day to day.  We have some
really great stories and now that all are feeling better, it will
be a lot more fun to tell them.

Our sweet girl gets easier and easier everyday.  I know she
can't wait to meet all her new family and friends.  She loves
other people to say hello to her, very friendly (when not in a
bad mood.....or constipated ;)  She really is easy, just been
very sick....so many issues through this trip, but survived
them all.

I want to send a special thank you to
Michael's mom &
dad
for sending us e-mail everyday!  Even though we
responded to so little it was really nice reading your
messages daily.  We know how excited you are to meet
Alivia.

Another special thank you to
Yuko for suggesting to get
the yellow rubber ducky bath...it saved the day MANY times
as it doubles as a temporary baby sitter when we need to
get a few things done and only have two hands, as well as
a most excellent bath.  Oh how we love our rubber ducky
bath!

Thank you so much to
all the wonderful family & friends
who sent us messages, we have read them all!  We even
could view our web site while in Guangzhou (at the White
Swan hotel), but not in Jiangxi or at the Victory hotel in
Guangzhou.  It was nice while it lasted, and WE DID READ
ALL THE VERY NICE MESSAGES FROM EVERYONE!
That was really great and made us so happy to receive all
of your support while we are so far away from home.  We
could just feel the anticipation while you all waited to hear
from us.  Again sorry for the delay due to illness and
exhaustion.

Thank you SO MUCH to
Jordan, Paige & Kim for taking
good care of our kitties while we are gallivanting around the
world :)

To
Irena: I want you to know that I noticed you were the
very first to post to the site....thank you, you are so sweet.

And finally...to my friend, I have no idea if you are reading
this, but I wanted to be sure that you knew that you and
your family have constantly been in our thoughts.  I hope
you understand what I am saying....Awgust.

See everyone in a couple of days!!!
